GROUNDS AND GARDENS

Unity Church in the Woods property's exceptional wooded character convinced the State of Florida in the year 2000 to give the Church a grant to build a nature trail on the property. The property has been filmed for television by Southwest Florida Water Management District and has been presented as a model for integrating nature with commercial land use. Our campus and sanctuaries were specifically designed to fit into the natural open space between the 10 acres of existing trees, resulting in an emotive structure that will inspire and uplift by way of bringing together the outside and inside environments. There are tall ecclesiastical windows in the sanctuary that look directly onto Grandmother Oak and the surrounding wall of trees.

Stop in and say "Hello," then walk the nature trail and give yourself a few moments of peace and tranquility. Simply feeling the life energy on our government-protected hardwood wetland campus is worth the visit.
